Beautiful Calcite specimen from Malmberget, Gällivare, Norrbotten County, Sweden.

This calcite was a part of my fathers main collection (on display), but due to lack of space I need to let it go.

It is 5811 grams and measures 8,0 x 24,8 x 22,5 cm (height, length, width)

I am not sure about year it was found, but my father bought this one directly from his mineral-friends in Malmberget, Sweden, probably the late 1990s/early 2000s.

The specimen is covered with beautiful calcites. At the bottom the calcites are translucent honey yellow, and on top of this it has grown white translucent calcite.

All close up pictures are taken with extra strong light to expose the crystals color and structure.

Even though it is a very big specimen, it is very close to damage free. You will find a couple of nicks, but very few. There are also few damages along the edges.
