The specimen was found in the classic location in the mountains of Bumansfjord, Seiland, Finnmark, Norway.

The specimen got a weight of 4889 grams, and measures 116 x 192 x 175 mm (height x length x width), and it is the best specimen I got for sale from this location.

On the top you will se a lot of translucent, big and perfect cola-brown Grossular crystals. The biggest one 18 mm. Between them you will se dark green translucent Diopside crystals. The crysals on the top are undamaged, which is very rare on such big piece. You will actually see that most of the 4,9 stone is grossular and diopside, with just some tiny areas with white calcite. The crystals at the edges and the backside are broken. At the backside you will see a coulpe of huge diopside crystals, the biggest one is 6 cm.

This area where it was found (Bumannsfjorden) is now a part of the Seiland National Park, and collecting from this area is now strictly forbidden. This specimen was found in the late 1980's by my father, Gunnar Mathisen.
