This specimen contains a nice 21 mm zircon crystal in biotite
It is 38 grams and measures 21 x 44 x 42 mm (height x length x width)
The zircon is loose, but is "trapped" within the biotite. However it could fall out from the biotite when transported. If it should fall out, it can still be nice on display as it is a nice crystal. So in this case I will not refund if the crystal falls out from the biotite under transport. However I made a very low price on this, so even for a loose crystal it would be a good buy.
As you can see on the pictures it is a crystal with nice quality.
The zircons are yellow SW and LW UV fluorenscence.
Zircons from Seiland are by far the world greatest, because of their deep red color with transparent and gemmy areas. The zircon site has been heavily mined in the 80's and 90's, and nowadays it is extremely difficult to collect decent specimens without spending several days with heavy tools for collecting. It is also at the border to the Seiland National Park, so you would have problems for granting rights to do mining. The specimen for sale is from the the 1990's when it was still easy to find zircons, and before the National Park was established (in 2006).
