Rare very light-purple amethyst from Zapolyarny, Murmansk Oblast, Kola, Russia
The specimen got a small layer of small light purple quartz crystals.
This is one out of two pieces of amethyst I got from this location. It must be a very small find because I only find quartz (and not amethyst) when I search for Zapolyarny on mindat.org.
Compared to the other specimen I have from this location, this one has slightly bluer crystal, and the crystals are a little bigger on this one. Thus, the higher price on this compared to the other one.
